Tony R. Vega is a legally blind speaker and long-distance walker sharing firsthand experiences and perspectives on Japan, anime, language, and accessibility to educate and inspire.

I’m available for speaking engagements, podcast appearances, interviews, panels, and educational events related to Japan, travel, accessibility, language learning, anime, and long-form adventure projects.

Through my travel challenges, media appearances, and YouTube channel, The Anime Linguist, I explore Japan through language, culture, independent travel, and immersive real-world experiences. My work also focuses on persistence, adaptability, and pursuing ambitious goals through unconventional challenges and creative projects.

As a legally blind traveler fluent in Japanese, I bring a unique perspective to my projects that aims to both educate and inspire.

I’ve spoken for organizations including Rakuten Total Solutions and the Hawaii Association of the Blind. I have also been featured in both Japanese and English-language media.
